Who I am
My name is Oscar, I am Dutch and Spanish but grew up in tiny Luxembourg. I find it easier to say that I am European!
I am driven by the quest to find the elusive perfect photograph, the one that encompasses everything I consider beautiful. Symmetry and order appeal to me, but then so do more maximalist designs, I guess good design in general is what I find appealing.
My underlying philosophy is to distill the feeling of a space into a photograph, to showcase your hard work and unique vision of a project into elegant and sophisticated imagery. Your potential clients (as well as mine actually) will spend a grand total of 2 seconds looking at a photograph of your work, we better cause an excellent and strong impression.
With a degree and background in the hospitality industry, I understand the importance of impressions and attention to detail. This attention is carried into the way I work, composing strong and meaningful photographs. You can expect some light joking and high energy level when working with me.
It would be a pleasure to work with you and I always try to make it a pleasure to work with me. My mother finds me to be a funny person, my wife says I’m not, I will let you find out who is right!
How I work
I always suggest to have an initial call to get to know each other and hear about your project. This gives me the opportunity to understand the scope of the project and your expectations.
Each space dictates how I will photograph it, but I do use lighting to control the mood and enhance the shapes and colors of the space.
